Highly Sought 1940’s “Fred A. Block” Beaded Wool Gabardine Cocktail Suit, Stunning Art-Deco Geometric Beading at one Shoulder & one Pocket. Jacket Lined in Rayon Crepe, Skirt is unlined with Metal Zipper. Measures Chest-38″, Waist-29″, Shoulder seam to seam-16 1/2″, Sleeve-23 3/4″, Length rear shoulder seam to hem-27″. Skirt measures Waist-26″, Hip-40″, Length-28 1/2″. Good wearable condition but has some detractions. No missing beads, small moth hole at front lower right of jacket & at opposite side same area, tiny cluster of threadbare specks in the weave. Spots at the right rear sleeve, bluish discoloration at the rear lower skirt, large underarm stains at the lining that don’t bleed through to exterior. Very light fading to the lining & a fade mark at the crease of the collar.
