Wide sash belt matches the ribbon band below the wool hips. All parts are black. This is a bold, avant garde formal gown, the style is quite unique, not for the faint of heart! The bodice is loose and made to fit like a blouse. Large shoulder pads. Long sleeves gather with a pleat at the wrist, cuffs unzip. Collar is gathered in the front and buttons behind the neck. The back of the bodice is open with a single hook and eye to keep it in place. The waist is fitted with sculpted hips, the bottom of the wool hip band has a ribbon detail. The waist and hips hold the weight of the skirt, keeping the bodice loose and blousey. The skirt is full circle and has two layers for volume.
