Ivory Edwardian Cotton Lingerie Day Dress. Delicate mixed lace inserts feature ivory on ivory embroidery, bobbin lace, cut work/ eyelet. Needle lace v -shaped bodice panel. The hem is a lovely scallop. The back closure is a series of snaps and hook & eyes. Size XS Approximate measurements are: Bust 34” Waist 24” Length from the waist 30” The model is a modern size 4 and 5’4” *photographed with a full slip. The fabric is very sheer Condition: Very good for age. The only stains are small and on the back along the opening. These are from the metal closure pieces that have rusted over time and stained the garment. This unfortunately a common flaw in these sorts of garments. There are a few places where the eyelet has pulled on the fabric and torn it. Please review the pictures. Luckily this is only in a few places. No returns are accepted. More information on lingerie dresses: “Lingerie dresses and lingerie blouses are garments made from lightweight cotton, linen and silk fabrics worn as both day and informal evening wear in hot climates from 1895-1935, but most popular from 1900-1925. They feature tucks, embroidery, and lace insertion techniques originally primarily seen in undergarments: hence their name.” To learn more: https://thedreamstress.com/2018/07/terminology-what-is-a-lingerie-dress-or-lingerie-frock-and-blouse-and-skirt/
