Probably wool or a wool blend, but it is not marked, and I'm not 100% positive. It looks and feels like the material used in a typical man's suit jacket. Only flaws I see are.the stitching holding the sash on near the bow is coming loose.the loop & hook at back above zipper needs a new loop.and there is a small snag on the right sleeve near cuff.
