1950s White Two Piece Midi Length Nightgown & Robe Peignoir Set-Lovely Lace Trim (SF4) A true vintage peignoir set! Consists of a coordinating nightgown and a matching robe, made from translucent fabric and adorned with feminine lace and ribbon embellishments. The detailed lace at the tapered waist is absolutely gorgeous. In very good condition. No tears or stains. Has a size and fabric tag. Flat measurements on the nightgown are 19 inches from armpit to armpit x 43.5 inches from the top of the shoulder strap to the bottom hem x 14.5 inches across the waist. The robe has very stretchy elastic on the arms that has not become stretched out. It is stretchy and roomy. 100% acetate with some stretch. Acetate was first made commercially in England after World War I, by British Celanese Limited. The fiber was first spun commercially in the U.S. in 1924.
