Gorgeous vintage dress from the 1920s. Fine black wool crepe and narrow pleated turquoise silk - very Fortuny. Lovely embroidery of orange, turquoise, soft gold and black threading in a deco patterning. I particularly love the balloon shape of the sleeves with embroidery and silk towards the bottom -a single snap closure on the black wool trim. Skirt section is 2 tiers with metal studs in the front. Bust is 38 inches. Waist is 38 inches. Hips are 41 inches. Shoulder seam to seam is 13 inches. Sleeve is 24 inches long. Length is 42 inches. Hidden snap closure that opens at the left side of the neckline and continues down to the waist. A few tiny openings in the silk - two on the top of the neckline and a few in the narrow silk pleating that are hidden. Some of the silk is also slightly dirty but again it’s hidden in the folds. A pinprick in the back of the right shoulder. Wonderful overall condition. Mannequin measurement are: 34 / 24-1/4 / 35 inches.
