DATING TO THE EARLY EDWARDIAN YEARS FASHIONED OF A BLACK WOOL BLEND AND IS IN MILITARY STYLE WITH BLACK SILK BRAIDING AND BRAIDED FROGS WITH DART POINTS TRIMMED IN SOUTACHE ALL ALONG THE BOTTOM. BRAID TRIMS EACH CUFF WITH SOUTACHE SCROLLS IN THE CENTER. EACH SIDE OF THE FRONT IS IN SILK WITH SOUTACHE DETAILING WITH A VELVET COLLAR TRIMMED IN MATCHING BRAID. SLIGHT PUFF FULLNESS AT THE SHOULDERS. INNER BOTTOM IS WEIGHTED TO GIVE IT PROPER HANG AND THE INTERIOR IS LINED IN SILK. HOOK AND EYES CLOSE THE FRONT INVISIBLY. CONDITION: THERE IS A SMALL AREA OF BITES ON THE LEFT BOTTOM FRONT, NOTE THE IMAGES. ONE ERASER SIZED FRAY HOLE IS ON THE BOTTOM LEFT CUFF BETWEEN THE TWO ROWS OF BRAID AND A SMALL POINT OF TRIM WOULD COMPLETELY HIDE. THE INNER COLLAR LINING HAS THE SILK FRAYED AND IS EASILY REPLACED, NONE THE WISER AND IT IS JUST A SMALL STRIP. A WONDERFUL GOTHIC MILITARY STYLE JACKET.
