We opened 2 armoires that haven’t been used since the 1940’s. We found Aunt Lucy’s dresses and hats. This is one of Aunt Lucy’s handmade sleeveless housedresses, well, perhaps a bit fancier than a housedress. . It’s handmade of a cotton , unlined.. Fabric seems strong. No holes, rips or stains. One small area at seam under bust where the thread has come loose, please see last picture, easy to sew up. Sleeveless. Belted, Metal zipper in the back. Gathered detail below one side of the waist. Please see all pictues as they are part of the descripiton. We found lots of patterns and sewing items in the house, so this must be a pattern made dress. We think it’s a size XL , but please check all measurements carefully. Please do not expect perfection on clothing of this age, we do our best to describe, but may miss something. We hand washed and hung to dry. This is a true vintage, worn item, and may show some signs of wear consistent with it’s age.
