This is a lovely example of mid-Victorian mourning style, with a high neck and long gathered luxurious chantilly lace all around the circle hem. Rows of black glass beads adorn the black silk faille material of the capelette, and a row of beads is partially hidden in the silk ruffle between the top of the cape and the wide black lace.

Fabulous paisley patterned jacquard silk mourning capelette has a high ruffle neck with black bead trim and a silk ruffle running around the center with black glass beading on top and black lace below.
