Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 DESCRIPTION This is a beautiful vintage designer formal gown from the late 50s – early 60s. One tag says “Harry Keiser” and the other says “Debutante, Julius Garfinckel & Co., Washington, DC”. The outer layer of the dress is made out of a sheer chiffon that is a vibrant light blue color, and the dress is lined in acetate. The dress is strapless with boning for support, and the bodice is accented with sequins and beads. There are also little sequin accents scattered throughout the rest of the dress. The dress has a high empire waist with pleated chiffon accenting it, and in the back, there are two wide chiffon tails that hang down to the hem. The dress closes with a metal zipper down the back. SIZING There are no size tags on this item, but I believe it would best fit a size XS. The actual measurements are as follows:Bust: 15.5 inches across, underarm to underarm (31 inches around. There are bust darts just below this that expand the bust area slightly. For reference, my mannequin has a 32 inch chest, and this dress fit her well in the chest.) Waist: 12.5 inches across (25 inches around) Hips: 19 inches across (38 inches around) Length: 38 inches from the top of the bodice to the hem Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around. CONDITION This dress is in good vintage condition, but it does have some flaws. I noticed a few thin, hairline runs in the chiffon (see picture for example). I also noticed a couple very faint marks on the chiffon (see picture for example). In addition, there is some slight fading to the lining in the underarm area (see picture), although this is not visible from the outside. These little flaws don’t detract from the beauty of the dress. It is still totally wearable as is, and it would also make a great costume piece!
