I love the color of this Jerry Gilden Spectator deep Turquoise faille dress!My thanks to the Vintage Fashion Guild for the following information:”Jerry Gilden produced women’s dress from 1940s into the 1960s. He started his business in 1945 and10 years later, he was one of the top five producers of women’s dresses in the United States.”The dress was made in the 1960s and I remember dresses vividly like this as I wore them! This dress is in a heavy faille fabric in a beautiful dark turqoise. Scoop neck front and back. Cap sleeves. Princess lines for a slimming look. Fit and Flare style. 8 large gores in the dress that make it nearly a full circle. (Photo) No need for a lining as the dress is out of a very heavy fabric. Long metal zipper in back with a hook and eye for a security. Vintage pinked seams.Just beautiful and can be dressed up or down which is a wonderful asset to a dress!
